The Tax Department announces that, based on a Decree of the Council of Ministers dated June 9, 2023 (ΚΔΠ 183/2023), the submission of personal income tax returns (TD1 and TD1 self-employed) for the year 2022 is extended until October 2, 2023.

As mentioned in a previous announcement of the Department dated May 2, 2023, the personal income tax returns (TD1 and TD1 self-employed) have not yet been posted on the TAXISnet system for submission, given the anticipation for the vote, by the House of Representatives, of amending legislation governing the exemption of remuneration from first employment in the Republic [article 8(23A) of Law 118 (I)2002 as amended] with effect from the tax year 2022.

When the amending legislation is voted on and published, the Tax Department will make all necessary changes to personal income tax returns (TD1 and TD1 self-employed) 2022 and will inform, through an announcement and sending emails to TAXISnet Direct Tax users, about the commencement of the submission of the Return.

It is reminded that employees, pensioners, and self-employed persons whose gross total income for the year 2022 is greater than 19,500 euros are obliged to submit a personal income tax return for 2022.
